Subly Subscriptions ("the app") helps Shopify merchants sell and manage product subscriptions and build-a-box offers. This policy explains what data the app accesses and how it is used.

Data we access

With the merchant's authorization, the app accesses the following via Shopify's APIs:

How we use data

Data is used solely to provide the app's functionality: creating and managing subscriptions, the customer self-service portal, automatic recurring billing, and merchant billing. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.

Data storage

The app is database-less. Subscription state (selling plans and contracts) is stored by Shopify, not by the app. App configuration is stored in the shop's own Shopify metafields. The app does not store customer personal data on its own servers.

Data sharing & subprocessors

App hosting is provided by Fly.io. The app's admin dashboard loads Tidio live chat so merchants can contact support; if you start a chat, the information you choose to share (e.g. your message and email) is processed by Tidio for that purpose. We do not share personal data with any other third parties, and we do not sell personal data.

GDPR & data requests

The app responds to Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks (customer data request, customer redaction, shop redaction). Because the app stores no customer personal data, customer data and redaction requests are acknowledged with no stored data to return or delete.

Data retention & uninstall

When the app is uninstalled, Shopify revokes access and removes the app's metafields. The app retains no merchant or customer data after uninstall.
